History Department

Shri Muktanand College was established in 15th June 1970. The department of History came into existence in the same year with Mr. B.S. Dengale as a Head of the department. Mr. Rahul Chokaji Salve was the Head of the department from 30/04/2008 to 31/06/2010. He completed his M.Phil. He worked on “Namantar Ladhyatil Aurangabad Shaharache Yogdan” (Contribution of Aurangabad city in Namantar Struggle) for his M. Phil. Dissertation. He has submitted the proposal for Minor Research Project to UGC entitled as “Namantarte Namvistar: Ek Samajik Sangharsh” (Namantar to Namvistar: A Social Struggle). He has registered for Ph.D. under Dr Jakir Pathan, Reader & Head of, Arts, Commerce & Science College, Badnapur, Jalna. His thesis is entitled as “Aurangabad Jilhyatil British Chhavanichi Sthapanaaani Tyaviruddhzalele Swantrya Ladhe” (Establishment of British Cantonment in Aurangabad and Independence Struggle). He was the convener of National Level Conference on “Lokmanya Tilakaani Maharashtratil Rashtravadi Chalvalicha Vikas” (LokmanyaTilak and Development of Nationalist Movement in Maharashtra).

Dr. VaishaliBagul became the Head of the Department from 01/07/2010. She is actively engaged in academic and research activities of the college. As an Assistant Professor in the History Department of the College, Mr. RamdasPanchal 15th Jule 2006, Mr. Rahul Vasantrao Chavan 15th July2018 and Dr. Vishnu Balkrushna Wahatule have been working since 15th July 2018.
